Vittal, 24 Jul 2013: A clash between students has occured in Vittal Government First Grade College on Tuesday July 23. Teasing a girl had led the students in fight.

A girl student complained to the principal about Kiran, a student, for teasing her. Another group assaulted Kiran on the matter which left Kiran critically injured. The matter led to a clash between the two groups of students.

Kiran, knowing the love of girl had allegedly teased her which ultimately led to the fight, the girl said in her complaint with Vittal police station.

The injured students, Kiran, Harihara, Deepak and Siddique were admitted to the hospital. Both the student groups have filed complaint in Vittal police station.

According to the sources, police have booked cases against 42 students from both the groups.

The clash between the two groups was led to a protest by ABVP to condemn the assault on Kiran and demanded to suspend the principal.

The students held a procession and shouted slogans against the principal. The procession passed from main roads of Vittal and later a meeting was held at the bus stand.

ABVP state secretary Ramesh K demanded to stop the bad administration of the Principal and warned to continue the protest until a justice decision will be taken.

ABVP leaders Vinay Alangar, Ravi Manila, Raj Kadumata, Nagesh Iyyadi, Naveen Kanyana, Shivacharan were present in the protest.

"The college principal has political motives and therefore, he is creating communal fights in the campus.  He was not allowing students from different religions to be together and students are getting affected by this," said ABVP state secretary Ramesh K.

He addressed a press meet at Vittal on Tuesday, demanding suspension of the principal. He also asked to reconsider the decision to suspend 7 students from the college. There are several people supporting the principal as he suspended students for bursting crackers.

"We have been appealing to ministers, MLA and other officials to take action against the principal, but in vain," he added.
