Mangalore: Huge crowds pay last homage to Bondala Jagannath Shetty

Mangalore, 01 Aug 2012: Large number of Congress workers, leaders and supporters converged near the District Congress Office at Hampankatta to pay last homage to Congress leader Bondala Jagannath Shetty, who died in a ghastly road accident in the night of July 31, 2012.
Among the leaders who were present to pay their last respect to the departed leaders were-former MP Vinay Kumar Sorake, District Congress President Ramanath Rai, MLA UT Khader, District Congress Secretary T K Sudhir and former Mayor Ashraf.
In spite of Section 144 being in force, the police managed the crowd peacefully.
