Mangalore: Protest against inconvenience at the Passport Office

Mangalore, 18 July 2012: Congress leader, Ivan D’Souza led a strong protest against at the Passport Office for not providing proper facilities to the people who go to the Passport Seva Kendra at Kodialbail, Mangalore to submit their application. The protest was organized on Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at 11 am which was peaceful.
The people who have been approaching the Passport Office to fill in their forms have been agitated over lack of facilities at the Passport Office. With the influx of a large number of applicants, the lack of seating arrangement has been causing great hardship to the people. The sanitary facilities are also quite inadequate at the office. People also complained that their applications have been rejected on flimsy grounds.
Ivan D’Souza later submitted a memorandum to the officials after the peaceful protest of nearly an hour in which large number of aggrieved people participated.

This is what we need to highlight. Peoples problems and ways to quickly solve them should be the goal of all leaders. Good to learn Ivan has taken a lead and we need to support him as BJP was a total failure in all aspects. People to bring to the notice of leaders any injustices and social problems they are facing so the leaders approach the relevant dept heads to find out the quick solutions. |
