Ten Avatars of Swami Nithyananda
Bangalore Mirror
Bangalore, 23 June 2012: He’s always been a bit of a showstopper. And now, Swami Nithyananda has outdone himself by preening and posing for a photo shoot that spanned 40 days. Bangalore Mirror accessed Nithyananda’s personal portfolio of pictures taken by professional in-house photographers with the best of cameras and lenses at the Bidadi ashram a few months back.
It’s obvious that the model’s bright clothes are a photographer’s delight. So are the accessories, the hair-do, and the 100-watt smile. Sources in the ashram told Bangalore Mirror that he would dress up every day for 40 days of the photo shoot and pose for pictures for a couple of hours.
The cameramen have caught Nithyananda in a variety of outfits and poses. It’s clear that he revels in the limelight. There’s Nithyananda holding a trishul like Lord Shiva. There are pictures of him holding the rudraksha, posing like a king on a throne, wearing a crown (and, of course, his 100-watt smile). In some photographs, he looks like a character who’s stepped out of an epic drama. Sources said that some professional designers chipped in.
Finally, around 300 pictures were finalised to give his devotees abroad, who are said to donate crores to the ashram. Interestingly, they were not meant for locals.
@auntie: He is a mirror. If he looks like ugly and cheap individual, then ur vomiting ur identity on him, showing how nauseating u r inside.. People seeing divinity in him, have already understood they are also divine.. Believing somebody is more divine, gives you the possibility to believe divinity in one\ s own self. Believing a possibility is the first step to achieve it. It is very easy to believe divinity in a stone, but not in a body which is alive.
