Kuwait, o5 May 2012: Indian Cultural Society presents” Zara Sa Jhoom Loon Main” with renowned playback singer from Bollywood ABHIJEET & world fame theater cum comedy king UMAR SHARIF from Pakistan on 18th May Friday, at 7.00 pm sharp. The Chief Guest for the event will be H.E. Ambassador of India, Kuwait. Also guest of honor will be prominent personalities from Kuwait & respected embassies from different countries.
After hosting memorable recent event for noble cause “Ambassadors of Comedy” with International artist Aron, Dean & Nitin, ICS now geared up with full package of cultural entertainment in “Zara Sa Jhoom Loon Main”. On continued process ICS has invited top most playback singers, actors & actress like Shreya Ghoshal, Kumar Sanu, Udit Narayan, Kader Khan, Bhagyashree, Alka Yagnik, Hema Sardesai, Talat Aziz, Shibani Kashyap, Akshay Anand, Prairna Agarwal, Bharti Singh & Kavita Krishnamurti etc.,
Abhijeet Bhattacharya, the name needs no introduction. He has given his voice for actors such as Shahrukh Khan, Anil Kapoor Mithun Chakraborty, Sunil Shetty, Jackie Shroff, Akshay Kumar, Govinda, Sanjay Dutt, Sunny Deol, Saif Ali Khan, Bobby Deol, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Hrithik Roshan and Ajay Devgan, among many others.
Abhijeet was born in a Bengali family in Kanpur on 30 October 1958, graduated in commerce (B.Com.) from Christ Church College, Kanpur in 1977. He started singing on stage from 1970 with Rahul Dev Burman to sing for Dev Anand’s son’s debut film.
In the 1990s, Abhijeet became playback singer. His songs include work from the film Baaghi, composed by Anand-Milind: "Ek chanchal shokh hasina," "Chandni raat hai" and "Har kasam se badi hai." Then in 1994 when he performed for movies like Yeh Dillagi, Anjaam, Raja Babu and Main Khiladi Tu Anari. He won the Filmfare Best Playback Singer Award for Yes Boss in 1997. He went on to record for the movies Baadshah, Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge, Josh, Dhadkan, Chalte Chalte, Main Hoon Na and many others.
He was a judge in reality shows Star Voice of India and Ek Se Badhkar Ek. In Star Voice, Abhijeet has recorded non-film pop music. He released two albums, Main Deewana Hoon and Tapori No.1. Later he launched Aashiqui.
He released a pop album, called Tere Bina. & non-film album called Lamhe.
Abhijeet received many awards including Filmfare Best Male Playback for “Main Koi Aisa Geet Gaaon” (Yes Boss), Screen Videocon award for “Chaand Taare” etc.

UMAR SHARIF: World Fame Theater & Comedy King Umar Sharif became one of the most well known stage performers in Pakistan after his extremely popular 1989 comedy stage plays Bakra Qistoon Pay and Buddha Ghar Pe Hai. In both he starred with another comedy legend Moin Akhter. Much of the success comes from the fact that he started to record his shows and the videos were rented out. Yes Sir Eid, No Sir Eid, followed "Bakra Qistoon Paey" that was the world’s first drama in the history of video drama to be recorded on the video cassette. His drama made a record popularity all over the world. He has written more than 100 stage plays, few films and books those are based on Poetry and hit plays or dramas.
Umer Sharif, born 2nd January 1960 in the town of Liaquatabad in Karachi, (Sindh) Pakistani & established himself as a stand-up comedian, stage, film and television actor, writer, director and producer.
Sharif has started his showbiz career from Karachi as stage performer at the age of 14. He introduced lots of Actors, Actress of Stage Plays, Films and Daramas as well as Singer, He introduced to...Shazia Manzoor (as a singer) Jawed Sheikh on Stage Plays Shakeel Siddiqui, Saleem Afridi, Zakir Mastan, Sikandar Sanam etc.
He has also produced films like Mr. 420, Mr. Charlie, Miss Fitna, etc. The popularity of Bakra Qistoon Pay also crossed the border into India as well and Umer Sharif became a famous name in India as well. As a good and effective response towards Lahore people, was that he gave them entertaining place and built a Private theatre named as "Lahore Theatre".
Umar Shariff has been associated with lots of cherity works like Earth-Quack in Northern Areas of Pakistan, for Shahzad Roy "Zindagi Trust", for Fatimeed Foundation, for Imran Khan "Shoukat Khanam Cancer Hospital, for Abrar-ul-Haq "Sahara Trust" etc. Now he just started his own "Omer Sharif Welfare Trust" & announced and started work on his "MAA Hospital”.
Umar Sharif has received many awards: Two times National Awards in 1992 for Mr.420 as Best Director & Best Actor. Ten times Nigar Award, it is a record that in the 40-year’s history of Nigar Award, none of the Pakistani got Four (Nigar Awards in One Year. He got Graduate award for best actor, director and script writer. Also Awami award, Cassette Melody Award, Chicago Award, and Musavir Award. It is the first time in the history of Pakistan’s film industry that the key of any city is presented to any actor. This honor is given to Mr. Omer Sharif by presenting him the KEY OF KARACHI CITY.
