Missing person’s dead body found floating in Belle River

Moodubelle, 06 April 2012:The dead body of Srinivas Nayak, approximately 48 years of age, resident of Kadambila-Kattingeri was found floating in the Belle river off Nelli Katte-Tabail. The body was discovered at around 7 am on Friday, April 6, 2012. It was found that the clothes and mobile of Srinivas Nayak were left on the bank of the river.
On receiving the news of the discovery of the body, the police from Shirva led by SI K.R. Naik rushed to the spot for inquiry. According to Lakshmi, wife of Srinivas Nayak, her husband had gone to Moodu Belle town to watch the IPL match in the evening of April 4, 2012 but never returned home. She has told the police that she strongly suspects foul play behind the unnatural death of her husband.
As the wife of late Srinivas Nayk has suspected foul play, the body has been sent to Manipal for detailed post mortem. Srinivas Nayak is survived by wife, son and two daughters.

The pictures were very touching and I feel they should not have published it in the media. The police find out the reason of his death as to whether it was a natural drowning or a homicide. | |
