Udupi: Congress celebrated victory around city

Udupi, 23 March 2012: Upon winning of the Udupi – Chickmagalur lokasabha by-election by the Congress candidate Jayaprakash Hegde, the congress workers and leaders conducted celebrations around the city. The procession which began from Mogaveera Sabhabhavana in Yelur Malpe in the afternoon at 3.00 pm arrived to Udupi District Congress Bhavana and from there went through Udupi city, Manipal and Perdur.

 

 

 
Winning candidate K. Jayaprakash Hegde, Congress leader Pramod Madhwaraj in a open Jeep, along with more than 10 thousands party workers in two wheelers and cars went on this procession. Throughout this kilometers long procession fire crackers were bursted. The whole atmosphere was full of slogans from the party workers. This was more of a showing the strength of the party to the other parties  than the celebration of the victory, arranged with the leadership of Pramodh Madhwaraj.
