Moodubelle: Fr. Paul Sequeira’s 51st Birthday celebrated

Moodubelle, 08 Feb 2012: Fr. Paul Sequeira’s 51st birthday was celebrated on Wednesday, February 8, 2012. Fr. Paul along with Fr. Joswey Fernandes and Fr. Lancy Saldanha offered mass at 6.30 am. Thereafter a short felicitation programme was organised.

Following the welcome by Fr. Lancy Saldanha who also compeered the programme, Fr. Paul Sequeira cut the Birthday Cake t mark his birthday as the choir sang the birthday felicitation song.  Thereafter, Fr. Joswey Fernandes, Parish Priest, Alphonse K. Alva, Vice President of the Parish Pastoral Council, Mrs. Jacinta D’Souza, Secretary and Fr. Lancy Saldanha felicitated Fr. Paul by offering him flower bouquets.

 

Alphonse K. Alva  and Fr. Joswey Fernandes in their felicitation messages recalled the service rendered by Fr. Paul to the parish of Belle especially to the educational institutions as the Principal of St. Lawrence Composite PU College.

In his reply to the felicitation, Fr. Paul thanked God for giving him the life and being called to serve as a priest. He expressed his gratitude to  Fr. Joswey, Fr. Lancy, the Parish Pastoral Council and all the parishioners for their support to him as the Principal of the PU College.

Following  the vote of thanks by Mrs. Jacinta D’Souza, the parishioners who were present in the church  greeted Fr. Paul by offering him  flowers. Fr. Paul posed for group pictures with the Sisters of the Loreto Convent and the Choir. Cake slices were distributed to the parishioners as they went out of the church.
