Shirva: Best 4 Singers selected in Udupi level Talent Hunt

Shirva, 21 November 2011: The most awaited Talent Hunt “Voice of Udupi” was organized by St. Mary’s Old Students Association(R), Shirva on Sunday 20th November 2011 in the afternoon at 02.00 pm onwards at Saude Sabha Bhavan, Shirva. The program was inaugurated and blessed by Very Rev. Fr. Stany Tauro. Dr. Gururaj K. – President of St. Mary’s Old Students Association (R), Shirva welcomed the guests and the gathering.

 

Total 10 female and 14 male contestants from Udupi participated in the singing competition of female and male categories separately. Wherein Ms. Carol Sonia D’Souza (Moodubelle) and Ms. Murel D’Sa (Shirva), along with Mr. Loyson Corda and Mr. Sandesh Bhat were selected for the Grand Finale in the female and male categories respectively.

 

 

Rev. Fr. Valerian Mendonsa, Mr. Rajagopal and Mr.Ravindra Prabhu were the judges of the competition, all of whom are eminent in the field of Music. Mr. Dennis Mathias and Grynal compeered the program. Mr. Mathias Lobo, Secretary of St. Mary’s Old Students Association (R) proposed vote of thanks.

 

The selected four singers shall perform on Sunday 01st January 2012 during the Grand Finale “Ye Sham Mastani” to be held on the Shirva Church Grounds. The whole event was live telecasted through udupiworld.com, launched by our enthusiastic and energetic Old Students of our Institution.
