Udupi, 15 October 2011: “Yediyurappa will come out without any guilt” is the immediate reaction of BJP State President S. Eshwarappa here in Udupi, while the former Chief Minister Yediyurappa was getting arrested in Bangalore. We in BJP respect the court, the court has given the order and for honouring it Yediyurappa has surrendered to the court. He is only an accused person and not guilty. He will be proven as innocent and will come out of jail, he assured.
He was talking to the reporters in Udupi on Saturday evening, while he was inspecting the preparations for the arrival of Advani’s Janachetana Rathayathre to Udupi. He said to the opposition party leaders who are accusing Yediyurappa that, “remember that you too are living in glass houses, you too will have to come to the court, and then it will be decided who is guilty and who is not”, he said.
There is nothing for me or the party to be embarrassed of, with the former Chief Minister being arrested while BJP National leader Advani’s Rathayathre is arriving to Karnataka. Advani is conducting the Rathayathra for cleaning the politics of the whole nation and not just for Ydiyurappa or any other person, said Eshwarappa.
Udupi: Lokayukta Hegde Protected Former CM’s - Eshwarappa
Udupi, 15 October 2011: Former Lokayukta Santhosh Hegde in his report has protected the illegal activities carried out during the tenure of the former Chief Ministers S.M. Krishna, Dharam Singh and Kumaraswamy, accused Eshwarappa. Government has respect on the former Lokayukta. Government has not rejected his report.
Former Lokayukta Hegde was asked to investigate and report the illegality in mining from 2000 to 2010, but he has investigated the illegality of just one or two years only, that too he has not done the investigation properly, he has investigated only on the de-notification of lands. With this the illegality taken place during Congress and JDS administration is protected. The state government has only asked clarification from the Lokayukta and government does not have any intention to reject the report, he said.
Earlier when the former Lokayukta Santhosh Hegde resigned, the BJP National President went to his house and requested him to take back his resignation. Only after the National leader Advani asked him, he took back his resignation. We have full respect on Hedge. As per his report only Yeddiyurappa had resigned to his Chief Minister’s position. So the government has no intention of disnonouring him by rejecting his report, said Eshwarappa.
