Dubai: Konkani Milan holds Children Beauty Contest 2011

Dubai, 10 October 2011: Konkani Milan – Konkani Moji Mai Bhas (Konkani is my Mother Tongue). This group has taken a great step in creating awareness and unity among the Konkani speaking troops.  Three months ago this group “Konkani Milan” – Konkani Moji Mai Bhas was created by Reckson Pinto Taccode on Facebook. Today it is consisting of 11,000 members and 6 administrative personalities serving the group.
 
Konkani Milan - Konkani Moji Mai Bhas – social group is determined to create awareness not only with youth but among kids too and had organized a competition - Konkani Milan- Burgyancho Sobaye Spardo-2011 (Children’s Beauty Contest – 2011). There were 32 participants in this contest. 1st prize was taken away by Mr. Lancy & Mrs. Shaila Menda ,Taccode/Sampige’s daughter baby  Liwa Snehal Menda  with unbeatable votes of 354.

 

 

 
The 2nd prize and 3rd prize had much competition and the winner of this 2nd prize was backed by Mr. Deepak & Mrs. Roshni Dsilva, Paladka’s daughter baby Crystal Dsilva   with a difference of 1 vote total 257 votes received. 3rd prize was won by Mr. Robert & Anitha D’Souza, Shirva’s daughter baby Reshal Dsouza by 256 votes. 4th prize was won by Mr. Stan Stany & Mrs. Reshma Martis- Moddubelle’s son master Mark Martis.
 
The awareness and contribution created by this group requires true admiration.
 
Konkani Milan - Konkani Moji Mai Bhas congratulates the winners and participants of this contest. The reason for the such an accomplishment was and is only possible by our  active Mangalorian youth who were always working and striving for our Konkani language namely…… Reckson Pinto Taccode, Anil Santhosh Bela, Rakesh Rebello Puttur, J.J. Shirthady, Wilson Fernandes Shirthady and Sujith Fernandes Nellikaar.
 
These days it seems we have lost awareness among our Konkani troops. Let the language be any, but let us respect our Mother tongue Konkani as much as possible.
