Udupi: BJP Yuva Morcha Protests against rise of fuel price

Udupi, 23 September 2011: State BJP Yuva Morcha Vice President Pratap said that Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has completely failed in resolving various issues including uncontrolled terrorism and rise of prices, so he should resign, he said. He was speaking on Thursday addressing the protesters in the protest organized by BJP Jilla Yuva Morcha against the raised diesel and petrol prices.
 
Speaking on the occasion BJP district President Udayakumar Shetty said that, the centre has money for 3G, commonwealth Games, Adarsh Society and similar such cases, but they do not have money to reduce the petrol – diesel prices, he said. Even BJP state leaders have gone to jail, but they did not go to jail for cheating the government money. They could not produce the necessary documents of their income, so they have gone to jail. But from congress already many have gone to jail and many more to go, he said.

 

 
 
Jilla Yuva Morcha President Pangala Vilas Nayak in his speech said that, if the black money which is in the Swiss Banks is brought then the petrol – diesel can be distributed for free. But the central government do not wish to do anything that will benefit the people and instead they do things benefiting the ministers, he said.
 
In the protest, Jilla Mahila Morcha President Reshma Udayakumar, Jilla Chief Secretary Shyamala Kunder, Jilla Minority Unit President Salim Ambagilu, Jilla Panchayath Member Geethanjali Suvarna, Municipal Vice President Bharathi Chandrashekar, Municipal Member Geetha Shet, Party leaders Mattaru Ratnakar Shetty, Prasad Shetty, Kishan Shetty, Pratap Shetty and others were present.
 
As part of the protest, protesters with the face mask of Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh and UPA President Sonia Gandhi were taken on the hand cart and took procession around the Gandhi circle.
