Mangaluru: Young engineers with clear goals, honesty, moral values needed - Dr Sadiq

Mangaluru, 25 Sep 2017: The need of the hour is to have young engineers with honesty and moral values who aspire for higher goals, said Dr Sadiq Shet, director of Systems Research Institute, Centre for Electronics Management of King Fahd University of Petroleum Minerals, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

 

Dr Sadiq was speaking during 5th Graduation Day of Bearys Institute of Technology (BIT), here, on Saturday, September 23.

 

 

He further said, ‘Unceasing efforts are essential to succeed in any sphere.  One should focus their efforts towards a set goal. Education is vital for the student to succeed in life.  The technological advances brought about changes in society,’ said Dr Sadiq.

 

NIT-K director Dr K Umamaheshwar Rao after inaugurating the programme, appealed the young engineers to serve the nation with human touch.

 

In his presidential address, Bearys Academy of Learning chairman Sayyed Mohammed Beary said that young engineers ought to maintain good character, professional excellence to succeed in both life and career.   

 

The convocation certificates were presented to 180 engineers during the Graduation Day. Mohammed Fazal, Mohammed Shanaz, Ayeesha Farhana, Rizma Banu and Inchara were honored for their distinct achievement.

 

Dr Aziz Mustafa officiated oath to the young engineers. 

 

BIT senior advisor Dr S K Raikar, BAL trustee Haji Mohammed Mazhar S Beary, deans of different departments Professor Purushottam, Professor Abdulla and Professor Vivekanand, BEEDS principal Professor Bhavish Mehta and others were present.

 

BIT principal Dr Antony A J welcomed the gathering. Professor Mustafa Bastikody proposed vote of thanks. The students Ruksana and Zulkar compered the programme.
