Mumbai: Mumbaikars immerse idol of Lord Ganesha into water after torrential rains

Mumbai, 01 Sep 2017: Mumbaikars heaved a fresh breadth on sunny Thursday, August 31, after torrential rains lashed the metropolis since Monday, August 28. The torrential rains caused flooding, disrupting train services putting general life out of gear. A few century-old buildings collapsed with many casualties.

Meanwhile, the people who worshiped Lord Ganesha were able to immerse the idol into artificial ponds, talao and sea shore near Mayor’s Bungalow, Shivaji Park, here on Thursday, August 31.
