DC Extends Section 144 in Dakshina Kannada Until July 2 Except Mangaluru

Mangaluru, 30 Jun 2107: Dakshina Kannada district Deputy Commissioner (DC) Dr KG Jagadeesha has extended section 144 until July 2 midnight, according to an order released on Saturday. Section 144 will remain in-force in four taluks of the district including Bantwal, Sullia, Belthangady and Puttur.

 

Meanwhile, Mangaluru commissionerate has been exempted from the section 144 in the order.  Earlier, section 144 was imposed in Dakshina Kannada following communal violence and subsequent unpleasant incidents in Kalladka of Bantwal taluk.
