Bantwal: RAF platoons arrive to enforce security in trouble-ridden taluk

Bantwal, 24 Jun 2017: The police have arrested more than 6 persons related to slain case of auto rickshaw driver and SDPI leader Ashraf at Benjanapadav, near here.
Meanwhile, many platoons of rapid action force (RAF) arrived in Bantwal taluk, aftermath of Kalladka incident and slain case at Benjanapadav, near here, on Friday, June 23.
ADGP Alok Mohan held talks with top police officers including IG Harishekaran, SP Bhushan G Borase, Sudhir Reddy and ASP Vishnuvardan at Bantwal town police station.
The rumourmongers shifted their focus now from Kalladka incident to slain case in Benjanapadav in social media such as WhatsApp and Facebook. Dakshina Kannada district SP cautioned such rumourmongers to stop such activities or face legal action. Two cases are already booked in this regard. He also appealed to share the info of such people whose identity would be held in secrecy.
Four platoons of RAF have patrolled the communally-sensitive areas such as Kalladka, Melkar, Farangipet. More platoons are likely to arrive on Saturday, to keep strict vigil in order to maintain law and order, to enforce security among the people.
