Bantwal: Masked men kill SDPI activist in broad-daylight at Benjanpadav

Bantwal, 21 Jun 2017: An auto rickshaw driver who was actively involved in a political party was barbarously hacked to death by masked men in broad-daylight at Benjanapadav, near here, on Wednesday, June 21.

 

Thirty-year-old Ashraf, resident of Ammunje, near Polali, here who was also SDPI activist was the unfortunate victim killed by assailants.

The assailants who arrived in bikes fled after the heinous crime, while the police arrived on the spot as soon as possible. 

 

The police suspect enmity culminated in the killing.

 

The deceased Ashraf was SDPI Ammunje zonal president. He had returned after hoisting the flag at Kalai, a few kilometers from Ammunje, near here, to commemorate the founder’s day celebration, and repairing the potholes on Kalai Road.
