Mangaluru: 75 Reps of Lions Club International district 317 to attend Convention in Chicago

Mangaluru, 20 Jun 2017: One-hundredth Lions International Convention will be held in Chicago, US, from July 1 to July 4. Indian origin Naresh Agarwal will take charge as president of Lions Club International for 2017-18, while 45,000 members from all over the world will witness this historical event. Seventy-five representatives form Lions Club International district 317 will attend this event, said designated Lions governor H R Harish.

 

Harish was speaking during the farewell function that was organized for representatives of Lions International district 317 at Lions Seva Mandir, here, on Sunday, June 18.

 

 

Lions former district governor Dr Santosh Kumar Shastry and Kavita Shastry couple, H R Harish released the new Lions logo on the same occasion.

 

The district governor Arun Shetty, deputy governors Devdas Bhandary and Ronald Gomes, former governor M B Sadasiva were present.

 

The designated cabinet secretary Vasant Kumar Shetty welcomed the gathering. The designated treasurer Sanjay Jain proposed vote of thanks. Taranat Shetty Bolar briefed about the Chicago tour. The designated PRO Navaneet Shetty compered the programme. nati
