Student declared brain dead after knocked down by car at Kinnimulky

Udupi, 18 Jun 2017: In a tragedy reported, a young girl suffered severe injuries and has been declared brain dead after she was knocked down by a car when waiting on a divider to cross the road in Kinnimulky on Thursday.

 

 

Ashmitha, a first PUC Science student of MGM College was rushed to a KMC Hospital, Manipal and was declared brain dead on Saturday morning. Soon after, her parents took a decision and donated her eyes.

 

She was a student of St Cecily’s and had secured 96% in the recent SSLC exams.
