Bantwal: ADGP Alok visits trouble-hit Kalladka; assures action on rumour mongers in social media

Bantwal, 16 Jun 2017: The strict actions will be taken on those who spread rumours to ignite law and order disturbance in social media, said ADGP Alok Mohan.
Addressing the media persons, while on his visit to communally-sensitive Kalladka, near here, on Thursday, June 15, ADGP Alok said the department will take precautionary measures as not to occur such incidences. He also said, ‘We will not arrest the innocent, instead we will take action on the accused only on the basis of CCTV footage to maintain transparency in investigations. Further actions will be taken on law enforcing officers who fail in their duties,’ said Alok.
All 18 accused were presented before the court on Thursday, June 15, and are awarded judicial custody.
A meeting was held to discuss the strategy along with Western Range IGP Harishekaran, SP Bhushan G Borase, ASP Vedamurti, DySP Ravish and Bhaskar Rai, circle inspector Manjayya, Mahesh Prasad, probationary IPS officer Nagesh D L on Thursday.
