Bantwal: Children ushered with pomp & gaiety during school reopening at Keddalike

Bantwal, 30 May 2017: The school reopening was held with much fanfare at Keddalike Higher Primary School, near here, on Monday, May 29.
The state forests and DK district-in-charge minister Ramanath Rai offered motion for celebrations at Keddalike School, by offering flower to each child enrolled for Class I.
Bantwal TP president Chandrahas Karkera after inaugurating the programme, said none should be deprived of education while the school reopening celebration is being held to sensitize people on the need for educating their children for better future.
The newly-enrolled children were taken in a procession of folk music and artists. The children were showered with perfumed water and offered sweets/adored.
Bantwal TP vice president Abbas Ali, ZP member B Padmashekar Jain, Mailappa Salian, TP steering Committee member Dhanalaxmi Bangera, district deputy director of public instructions Walter D’Mello, BUDA president Sadashiv Bangera, TP member Baby Krishnappa, education resource officer Rajesh, co-ordinator Srikant conveyed best wishes.
The school betterment council president Dinesh Shetty Kavalakatte, former president Divakar Das, gram panchayat president Santosh Punja, vice president Chandravati, members Mohan Acharya and Satish Padantrabettu, teachers, parents of children were present.
The books and stationery was distributed to the students, while the bicycles were distributed to the students of Kavalamudoor High School, near here, on the same occasion.
BEO Lokesh C welcomed the gathering. The headmaster Ramesh Nayak Rayee delivered the preliminary address. The resource person Gopal Anchan compered the programme. The teacher Chandappa proposed vote of thanks.
