Bantwal: CITU observe Labor Day; State Prez allege Acche Din ruined Aam Aadmi

Bantwal, 02 May 2017: The Labor Day is special for the laborers who earn their livelihood with hard labor. It was the day the laborers earned the right to work for 8 hours and rest for 8 hours, said CITU state president comrade Varalaxmi.
Varalaxmi was speaking during the Labor Day celebration that was organized by CITU – Bantwal taluk Committee, at Baddakatte, here, on Monday, May 1.
The martyrs who laid down their lives to get labor rights ought to be remembered by every laborer, on the occasion of May Day, she said.
The ruling governments try to snatch the rights of laborers that was earned with struggles, alleged Varalaxmi. The governments in the grip of capitalists are implementing anti-labor laws to safeguard the interests of capitalists, she expressed anguish.
Only united struggle can change the lives of laborers and not by mere voting, she said. She also cautioned to be united as the vested interests are trying to break the unity in the guise of caste and religion, nationalism.
PM Modi who promised Acche Din is jeopardized the lives of common folks, alleged Varalaxmi. The VIP red beacon lights that are banned will not lessen the peoples miseries, she added.
CITU district president J Balakrishna presided the programme.
The senior labor leaders B Vasu Gatti, Sanjeev Bangera and Monappa Sapalya were felicitated on the same occasion.
CITU Bantwal taluk secretary Ramanna Vittal, leaders Jayanti Shetty, Lolakshi, Ramakrishna B, Udayakumar and others were present.
Earlier, the laborers held a rally from Mahalingeshwar temple, here till the venue.
