Mangaluru: DC Dr Jagdisha urges gynecologists to reduce mortality of both mother & child

Mangaluru, 28 Apr 2017: The women and child welfare department in collaboration with Father Muller Medical College Hospital, Kankanady, here, recently organized workshop on medical care of pre-natal and post-natal for both private and government gynecologists’, in order to reduce the mortality rate of both mother and baby in Dakshina Kannada district.
Dakshina Kannada DC Dr K G Jagdisha inaugurated the workshop that was attended by 60 both pediatricians and gynecologists form different hospitals of district.
Speaking on the occasion, DC Dr Jagdish expressed irony over mortality of both mother and child during child birth, despite DK has advanced healthcare facility. He urged medical fraternity to lay special emphasis on health of both mother and child.
The district health and family welfare officer Dr Ramakrishna Rao, district RCH Dr Ashok H, Father Muller Medical College Hospital gynecology head of department Dr Prema D’Cunha, unit chief Dr Sujay Rao, Wenlock district Hospital surgeon Dr Rajeshwaridevi, Lady Goschen Hospital medical superintendent Dr Savita and others were present.
Dr Prajna proposed vote of thanks. Dr Yajna compered the programme.
