Mangaluru: Mayor Kavita leads delegation to CM seeking funds for developmental works

Mangaluru, 27 Mar 2017: The delegation of civic body led by newly-elected mayor Kavita Sanil of Mangaluru met CM Siddaramaiah at Vidhan Soudha, Bengaluru, on Saturday, March 26.
The delegation presented a memorandum to CM Siddaramaiah to sanction Rs 100 crore to execute 4thstage of urban development projects of civic body and also to provide funds in order to award compensation to the displaced families living in 500 acres of farmland that will be submerged owing to increasing the height of new vented-dam at Thumbay, Bantwal to 7 feet.
The state forests and ecology, DK district in-charge minister B Ramanath Rai, Mangaluru south MLA J R Lobo, chief whip Ivan D’Souza, corporators were present.
