Udupi: Bantakal Tech Institute celebrate Science Day with special children of Manasa

Udupi, 01 Mar 2017: To commemorate the invention of Raman Effect by Sir C V Raman, our country is celebrating National Science Day every year on 28 February. This year the national science day was dedicated to specially-abled children. In this connection the National Service Scheme (NSS), Youth Red Cross (YRC) and the Rotaract club of Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology (SMVITM), Bantakal, near here, celebrated this day in a special way by inviting the specially-abled students of Manasa, a school for differently-abled children, located at Pamboor, near here, to the campus.
The students of SMVITM have conducted some science experiments and exhibited few models on science for the benefit of students. In addition to this the students performed some variety entertainment program to entertain the specially abled children.
Vice president of ’Manasa rehabilitation school’ Henry Menezes was the chief guest on this occasion who expressed his deep sense of gratitude to the institution and the volunteers. He also appreciated the noble gesture of organizing such a memorable event for the in-mates of the school.
Professor Dr Thirumaleshwara Bhat presided the function.
Coordinator of National Service Scheme Nagaraja Rao, HOD’s of various departments, student volunteers were present. Mr.Sanjay briefed about the importance of National Science Day.
Megha Samaga welcomed the gathering, compered the program and proposed vote of thanks.
