Puttur: Philo Ventura-2017, Management Fest held at St Philomena College

Puttur, 12 Feb 2017: St Philomena College, PG department of commerce, here organized a state level Commerce and Management Fest, Philo Ventura 2017, at College auditorium, on February 9.
K A Chandra Kumar, joint commissioner, income tax department, Mangaluru inaugurated ‘Philo Ventura 2017’ and said, ‘Learning is a lifelong process. The success rate of our students in UPSC examinations is very low. There is a need to inspire the students to appear for the competitive examinations.’ Prof. Leo Noronha, Principal said, ‘Creativity has become the benchmark of higher education.’
M Jagannath Kamath, chartered accountant, Kamath & Kamath Associates, Mangaluru participated as the chief guest. Fr Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro, chairman, Centre for Post Graduate Studies and Research was the guest of honor.
Fr Alfred J Pinto, the correspondent presided the function.
Geethashri and group presented the prayer song. Divyashree K, coordinator of the Fest welcomed the gathering. The student coordinator Roshan Rosario proposed the vote of thanks. Prajna P K compered the programme.
In the valedictory function, Gangadhara P, chartered accountant participated as the chief guest. Fr Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro participated as the guest of honor.

Priyanka Adline D’Souza, Assistant Professor presented the details of prize winners.
St. Aloysius College (Autonomous) Mangaluru bagged the overall championship and SDM College, Ujire secured the runners up prize.
