Mangaluru: Roshni Nilaya School of Social Work bags Championship at Psycritique-2017

Mangaluru, 11 Feb 2017: The Psychology and English departments of St Agnes Centre for Post Graduate Studies and Research, here organized an intercollegiate fest, Psycritique – 2017, for undergraduate and postgraduate of various colleges, here on Friday, February 10.
Dr Hima Urmila Shetty S, retired Associate Professor of the department of English, St Agnes College (Autonomous), was the chief guest of the occasion.
In her keynote address, Dr Shetty highlighted how the rising violence incidences can be mitigated by integrating sensitivity (psychology) and sensibility (literature).
Sr Dr M Venissa AC, vice principal and head of department of Economics, St Agnes College presided the event.
Sr Marie Evelyn AC, St Agnes PG College coordinator was also present.
Competitions held include paper presentations, documentary, quiz, in which 6 colleges participated. The overall championship was won by Roshni Nilaya School of Social Work (PG), Mangaluru and the runner up trophy was bagged by MGM College, Udupi.
Staff conveners–Psychology and English Sarah Crasta and Ruba Harris respectively and student conveners – Psychology and English Jacqueline Sarah and Dalsy Dominic respectively, were present during the valedictory program.
