Bantwal: Mad rush at PSU Banks to exchange high value notes

Bantwal, 12 Nov 2016: The people queued up since early morning on Friday, November 11, in front of PSU banks at B C Road, here to exchange or deposit the defunct Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes.

 

 

The people from far-flung areas rushed to PSU banks that have their branches at taluk center, because there are not many branches of PUS banks in rural villages and the Co-operative Societies located in their villages are maintained out of this facility. 

 

The senior citizens, women and employees of various departments were found waiting in queues to exchange their high value notes that they got to do to for meeting daily expenses.
