Mangaluru: 5th Prison Ministry of India Karnataka State Convention - 2016 begins in city

Mangaluru, 12 Nov 2016: Prison Ministry of India (PMI) – Karnataka in association with Mangaluru unit organized 5th PMI Karnataka state Convention – 2016, 2-day event themed Bridging the past to build a better future was inaugurated at Shanti Kiran, Bajjody, here on Friday, November 11.
Bishop Dr Aloysius P D’Souza of Mangaluru diocese concelebrated the Eucharistic Celebrations along with Bishop Dr Gerald I Lobo of Udupi diocese here on Friday at 9.30am.
Bishop Dr Aloysius inaugurated the Convention at 11.00am. Bishop Dr Gerald presided the programme.
Karnataka state legislative backward class and minority welfare Committee chairman MLA J R Lobo and Karnataka legislative council chief whip MLC Ivan D’Souza were the chief guests of the occasion.
Fr Dr Francis Kodlyan, PMI co-founder, Kottayam, Kerala and Fr Sebastian Vadakumpadan, PMI national co-ordinator, Bengaluru were the guests of honor.
The Convention will conclude on Saturday, November 12 evening.
