Karkala: Sri Durgalaxmi Self-Help-Group launched to empower Bunts rural women

Karkala, 11 Nov 2016: Sri Durgalaxmi Self-Help-Group (SHG) was launched to empower poor woman of Bunts community living in the limits of Nandalike, Belman, Sooda, Bola, Kedinje, Kalya Mundkoor, Kantavara and Belady villages, near here during a function held at Laxmijanardhan School hall, Nandalike, on Wednesday, November 9.
Sarala Shetty, proprietor of Sarala Wood Mill, Nandalike, near here after inaugurating Sri Durgalaxmi SHG said that the initiative to empower the rural woman of Bunts community is indeed noteworthy.
Bantara Sangha – Belman founder president Shodhan Kumar Shetty, president Nandalike Chavadi Aramane Suhas Hegde, secretary Ritesh Shetty, Laxmijanardhana School headmaster Bhujanga Shetty, Durgalaxmi SHG secretary Smita R Shetty, Sandhya Shetty, SHG convener Rooparani Shetty, Rameshwari Shetty and others were present.
