Karnataka Sangha-Sharjah to celebrate 14th anniversary with Mayura Award Ceremony on Nov 18

Sharjah, 11 Nov 2016: Karnataka Sangha – Sharjah will be celebrating its 14th anniversary at Sharjah Indian Association Auditorium, here on Friday, November 18 at 4.00pm.

 

 

The main attraction of this year’s event is being UAE Level Singing Competition of which the final round will be conducted on stage and the winners will be honored with ‘Mayura Raja’, ‘Mayura Rani’, ‘Mayura Kumara’ and ‘Mayura Kumari’ respectively. Karnataka MLA J R Lobo has consented to be the chief guest whereas advocate Y A Rahim, the president of Sharjah Indian Association will be the guest of honor.

 

 

‘Mayura Award’ will be bestowed on entrepreneur Joseph Mathias

Like every year, Karnataka Sangha Sharjah identifies a prominent Kannadiga and honors him with award. This year, they have identified the well-known businessman, social worker, singer, movie actor and most importantly an ardent supporter of Kannada art, folklore in this part of the world, Joseph Mathias and will honor him with the prestigious ‘Mayura Award’ during the event.

 

There will be musical programme throughout with some of the well-known singers, Anitha D’Souza, Manasa Holla, Harish Sherigar with the orchestra by Raj Gopal and group of Mangaluru who will enthrall the audience with very many Kannada songs.  Ravi Santosh will be the compere who will also entertain the audience with his live mimicry.
