Deepavali celebrated at St Joseph’s Hr Pry School, Belman

Karkala, 27 Oct 2016: The celebration of Deepavali, festival of lights indeed promotes brotherhood by shunning the darkness and surging towards light. It’s commonly celebrated in worship centers and elsewhere. Meanwhile, the celebration of Deepavali in school is special and ideal programme, said MLA V Sunil Kumar.
MLA Sunil was speaking after inaugurating Deepavali Sambrama – 2016 at St Joseph’s Higher Primary School, Belman, near here on Wednesday, October 26.
He also felicitated renowned chief Surendra Nayak (Balumam) Nagarabettu who has been preparing Deepavali dishes since the past 8 years and Ravi, the bus keeper for service buses at Belman, here.

The School head teacher Sr Lucy Pereira welcomed the gathering. The teacher Vincent Pinto proposed vote of thanks. Rotary Club – Shirva and JCI – Belman sponsored the programme.
Variety cultural shows were presented by the students and reading scriptures of Bhagavad-Gita.
The programme concluded with fellowship meal.
