Mangaluru: Background of artist key to motivation - renowned artist Balan N

Mangaluru, 26 Oct 2016: The artist gets inspiration from the environment that he had lived. The experience and commitment will help him to create a masterpiece of art, said Balan Nambiar, renowned artist and former chairman of Lalita Kala Academy, New Delhi.
Balan was speaking after inaugurating 3-day basic design workshop that was organized by Bearys Enviro Architect Design School (BEADS) at their BIT campus, Inoli, here on Monday, October 24.
The expanse of land towards the north of Kerala to Kundapur in Udupi district of Karnataka has rich folklore that can provide material for the artist to work on. Bhootakola of coastal district of Karnataka, Thayam folk art of Kerala, costumes, etc will enhance the knowledge of an artist who wants to excel in his chosen profession. The plants, trees, twines, flowers, etc in nature inspires creativity. Art presents intrinsic value without much detail. Meanwhile, one can create a masterpiece by blending a few mathematical formulas, drawing, symbols, and color with nature by putting in persistent hard work to constantly improve, said Balan.
Bearys Group of Education Institutions chairman Sayyed Mohammed Beary, in his presidential address, hoped the tips from veteran renowned artist Balan will inspire the new generation of students.
BEADS principal Bhavesh Mehata said that one can learn a lot from with hands on experience than mere viewing. The workshop is helpful in this regard.
The artist Evelyna, Dr Akthar Hussein, BEADS lecturers Karim and Aziz Mustafa and others were present.
