Teachers should be paid like IAS officers: Dr P V Bhandary

Moodbidri, 23 Oct 2016: ‘Teaching is a noble profession which makes change in a very systematic way. Teachers carry the utmost responsibility in constructive society. Hence teachers should be paid like IAS officers,’ said eminent counselor and academician Dr P V Bhandary.
Dr Bhandary was speaking after inaugurating the faculty development programme organized by commerce department of Alva’s College, here on Saturday, October 22.
In his presidential remarks, principal, Dr Kurian said, ‘Academic framework is changing today. Teaching methodology should aim at constructivism. Teacher should be able to share the experience of knowledge and on the other side, students should have reciprocating mindset. To create such academic environment, self evaluation is need of the hour. FDP will help each faculty in this regard.’
Dr S Ganesh Bhat released ‘Vanijya’ annual journal of the department.
Professor K Umesh Shetty, Dean, welcomed the gathering.
