Mangaluru: Ramakrishna Mission carries out 1st 10 drives of 400 Swacch Abhiyan

Mangaluru, 12 Oct 2016: First 10 drives of the 400 Abhiyans being organized by Ramakrishna Mission, here took-off on Sunday, October 9 at 10 different venues across city.

 

Mulihithlu – Members of Amba Maheshwari Bhajana Mandir group took up the cleanliness drive at Mulhithlu surroundings. Swami Chidambarananda of Ramakrishna mutt, here and Sitaram of Bhanjana Mandir jointly flagged-off the drive. The group took up the cleanliness drive from 7.30am to 9.30amunder the guidance of Umanath Kotekar.

 

 

Jeppu – Members of Nivedita Balaga carried out the cleanliness drive in Jeppu market area. Dr Dileep Kumar, principal of Sri Devi Engineering College flagged-off the drive. The group was guided by Vijayalakshmi.

 

 

Karavali Maidan – The members of group, Team Vivek under the guidance of MLC Captain Ganesh Karnik carried out the cleanliness drive in front of Karavali Maidan. Swami Dharmavratananda of Ramakrishna Mission here flagged-off the drive at 8.00am.

 

 

Car Street – Students of Government First Grade College, Car Street, here carried out the cleanliness drive at Car Street. MLC Captain Ganesh Karnik and Rajashekar Hebbar, principal, GFGC, Car Street jointly flagged-off the drive at 7.30am. The team cleaned Car Street in the 2 hours’ drive under the guidance of Dilraj Alva.

 

 

Kudroli – The team of Paramajoythi Manava Seva Smaiti took-up the cleanliness drive in Kudroli area. The students of Narayana Guru College too joined the Abhiyan. Swami Dharmavratananda and Manohar Prabhu jointly flagged-off the drive.

 

 

Chilimbi – Resident students of Backward class Girls’ Hostel and Minority Girl’s hostel in 2 teams carried out the cleanliness drives in Chilimbi area. The local corporator Rajaneesh and Suresh Shetty flagged-off the drive. The group carried out the cleanliness drives under the guidance of Professor K B Mahesh from 7.30am to 9.30am.

 

 

Morgans Gate – Residents of Bhagini Samaj carried out the cleanliness drive in Morgan’s Gate area under the guidance of Ratna Alva from 7.30am to 9.30am.


Konchady – Derebail – Friends of Konchady Friends Circle carried out the Swacchata Abhiyan inspired by Ramakrishna Mission from 7.30am for 2 hours. Jagadish Shetty flagged-off the drive. Swami Ekagamyanandai was present at the venue.

 

 

Kalladka – Inspired by Ramakrishna Mission, Swacch Bharath Nirmana Sangha and Sri Rama Vidya Kendra carried out, ‘Swacch Gram’ – monthly cleanliness drive. Swami Ekagamyananda of Ramakrishna Mission launched the drive. Prabhakar Bhat, Narayan Somayaji, Vasanth Madhav, principal Krishanprasad and Ramesh Nayak were present. Swami Ekagmyananda briefed them about the Swacch Mangaluru Abhiyan. After the stage programme, cleaning work was carried out in Kalladka, Bantwal.

 

 

Nitte Education Trust and MRPL are patronizing this 3rd phase of Swacch Mangaluru Abhiyan.
