Mangaluru: Cleanliness drive at Jalalabagh, Deralakatte

Mangaluru, 04 Oct 2016: Cleanliness has no difference regardless of caste, creed and faith. The mankind needs to maintain cleanliness and hygiene for good health, said Krushika Samaja president Hyder Partipady.
Hyder was speaking during the cleanliness drive that was held at Jalalabagh, Deralakatte, near here on Gandhi Jayanti, Sunday, October 2. It was organized in collaboration with Janani Women and Child Welfare Charitable Trust® and Kotekar town panchayat – 12th ward residents Committee.
First of all, we got to cleanse our minds, to maintain cleanliness in our village and nation, added Hyder.
Speaking on the occasion, Kanachoor Group director Abdul Rehman said, The people from all over the world arrive in India and if we don’t maintain cleanliness; it gives ill notion about our country. The people are arriving in greater numbers to Deralakatte, where there are 4 medical colleges and hospitals located. Therefore, it’s our ardent duty to maintain cleanliness in our surrounding,’ said Rehman.
Vidyaratna education institution chairman K Ravindra Shetty Ulidottu said that these programmes are indeed essential in order to create healthy society, where everyone maintains cleanliness at home and at the vicinity.
Janani Women and Child Welfare Charitable Trust general secretary Sumati Hegde, treasurer Janet D’Souza, district KDP member Alwyn D’Souza, Kotekar Town Panchayat members D M Mohammed, Lancy D’Souza, entrepreneur Majeed Gold House, Madarangi – Kannada monthly publisher D I Abubakker Kairangala, Jalalabagh residents Committee president Ismail, vice president Abu, secretary Hameed, members Amin Hussein and Ismail, social worker Amir Thumbay were present.
