Puttur: Training program on Painting held at St Philomena College

Puttur, 04 Oct 2016: Fine Arts Association of St Philomena College here organized Training Programme in Painting and Evaluation of EC/CC Activity at their Spandana seminar hall on Saturday, October 1.
Chaithra K S, Department of Chemistry participated as the resource person. She said, ‘The arts have the capacity to engage everyone. There are no barriers of race, religion, culture, geography or socioeconomic levels.’
Professor Vishnu Bhat, Vice Principal, in his presidential address said, ‘The fine arts provide learners with non-academic benefits such as promoting self esteem, motivation, cultural exposure, creativity, improved emotional expression, as well as social harmony and appreciation of diversity.’
The convener of Fine Arts Association Varija M and co-convener Deepika Sanil coordinated the programme.
Sahana Rao presented the prayer song. Lavita Ramya D’Souza welcomed the gathering. Rakshitha B R proposed the vote of thanks. Priyalatha M compered the programme.
