Minister Rai inaugurates Farmers Contact Centre at B C Road

Bantwal, 27 Sep 2016: The state government has implemented several programmes to address the grievances of farmers. It hopes the bonafide farmers get the state facilities through Farmers Contact Centers set up by the administration, said DK district-in-charge minister B Ramanat Rai.
The minister Rai was speaking after inaugurating newly-set up Farmers Contact Centre at a cost of Rs 38 lac at B C Road, here by the agriculture department of Dakshina Kannada ZP, on Monday September 26 evening.
The arming machineries are being provided to the farmers at subsidized rates by the farming department that deserves appreciation for taking keen interest in this regard, added minister Rai.
TP president Chandrahas Karkera in his presidential address, urged the farmers to avail state facilities through the Centres in order to make farming a profitable venture.
The district farming and industrial steering Committee president Sarvottam Gowda, peasants’ leader Ashok Kumar, Borimar, Padmanabha Rai, Dhanalaxmi Bangera also addressed the gathering.
TP vice president Abbas Ali, ZP members Chandrapakash Shetty and M S Mohammed, farming department joint director Dr Kempe Gowda, Mangaluru sub division deputy farming director Dr Mune Gowda, TP member Prabhakar Prabhu, Sadashiv Bangera, Mayilappa Salian were present at the dais.
The farming department assistant director P F Miranda delivered the preliminary address. The farming officer Narayan Shetty welcomed the gathering. Narayan Gowda compered the programme. The farming officer Nandan proposed vote of thanks.
The approval letters for ractors and soil testing model was presented to 2 farmers.
