Puttur: St Philomena College celebrates Hindi Day

Puttur, 24 Sep 2016: St Philomena College, department of Hindi organized a programme to inaugurate certificate course in ‘Prayogic Hindi’ and to celebrate ‘Hindi Day’ on at their Spandana seminar hall here on September 20.
The principal Professor Leo Noronha inaugurated the certificate course and said, ‘Hindi is most widely spoken in the world. Hindi language is one among the most ancient languages of the universe. Hindi is popularly used in our film industry.’
The chief guest Dr Udaya Kumar, head if department of Hindi at St Agnes College Mangalore said, ‘We must love and respect our language. Language is the device through which human beings can express their feelings.’
Head if department of Hindi Professor Vishnu Bhat welcomed the gathering. Faculty of Hindi Mariya Priyadarshini gave preliminary address. Faculty of Hindi Gopalakrishna Dongre proposed the vote of thanks. Shahid compered the programme.
