Mangaluru: Varieties of fishes released into lake at Pilikula Nisargadhama

Mangaluru, 25 Sep 2016: Varieties of sweet-water fishes numbering 30,000 were released on 10-acre lake at Pilikula Nisargadhama, here on Saturday September 24. It was sponsored by Karnataka Fisheries Development Board.

 

 

The Board managing director V K Shetty, Pilikula Nisargadhama director H Jayaprakash Bhandary, fisheries department deputy director Ganesh Kumar, officers of fisheries department and Karnataka Fisheries Development Board were present.

 

It’s estimated that the lake has over 1 lac fishes of different species, while the angling is allowed for registered members for fishing by Pilikula authorities.
