Christian Chamber of Commerce and Industry confers Annual Awards to Distinguished Individuals

Mumbai, 26 Sep 2016: Christian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) organized Award ceremony at Hotel Kohinoor, Prabhadevi, Dadar (West) here on Saturday September 24.
CCCI is an association of businessmen from all walks of trade & industry and the motto of the organization is to foster the spirit of entrepreneurship amongst members and to reach out to the community in particular and to the state and country at large. In that context every year, CCCI is conferring in various categories for successful entrepreneurs.
Nidhi Choudhary, collector of Palghar district was the chief guest of the function. Bishop Dr Henry D’Souza of Bellary, Karnataka presided the function.
Both Nidhi and Bishop Dr D’Souza conferred the Awards to Jacob Crasta (industry), Dr Christy Fernandes (public service), Allan De Noroha Chhotebhai (social service), Zelia Quadros (women entrepreneur), Santosh D’Silva (young entrepreneur) and Elaine Charles (education).
Speaking on the occasion, Bishop D’Souza lauded for CCCI in recognizing the contributions of distinguished individuals form the community for their extraordinary contributions and achievement.
CCCI chairman Antony Sequeira, expressed his thanks in supporting CCCI in its endeavour. He said, ‘We will create more opportunities to our members, keep creating awareness about industry, and take bold steps towards evincing interest among the youngsters, thereby making an effort to win this institution global recognition,’ he said.
CCCI founder chairman Vincent Mathias, former chairman Henry Lobo, CCCI awards Committee convener John D’Silva, deputy chairman Albert W D’Souza and John Mathew were present on the dais.
The awardees, reciprocating to the honour bestowed upon them, praised the functioning style of CCCI, which happens to be a premier Christian body.
The other dignitaries including conveners of different sub-Committees, other office bearers, and a large number of members with family, were present at the function.
Glenn D’Souza and Tanya Buthello compered the programme. Agnello Rajesh Athaide proposed the vote of thanks.
