Mangaluru: Milagres College holds Navrang-2016, Inter-collegiate Rangoli Contest

Mangaluru, 24 Sep 2016: Milagres College, department of hotel management, here organized national level inter-collegiate Rangoli competitions, Navrang 2016 – Where Colors Become Art, here recently. A total number of 45 teams from Degree and PU Colleges had participated in this competition.
The event was inaugurated by the chief guest Fr Vijay Victor Lobo who is the director of Sandesha School of Arts.
Fr Anil Lobo, assistant parish priest of Milagres Church, Ivan D’Souza and Cecilia Pereira, management Committee members of Milagres College were present on the dais.
Fr Michael Santhumayor, principal of Milagres College welcomed the gathering Denzel D’Costa, head of department of Hotel Management of Milagres College proposed the vote of thanks.
The jury comprised Preethi Shenoy, proprietor of Panchmahal Plastics, Priya Sunil, RJ at Community Radio Sarang of St Aloysius College and Professor Grace Noronha, head teacher of St Aloysius Gonzaga High School.
The principal, vice principal and the head of department of hotel management of Milagres College were present on the dais.
The results were announced and cash prizes, trophy and certificates were distributed by the dignitaries to the winners.
Results:
I Prize - Sharada College, cash prize of Rs 3,000, trophy and certificates.
II Prize – Government First Grade College, Car Street, cash prize of Rs 2,000, trophy and certificates.
III Prize - Sri Ramakrishna College, cash prize of Rs 1,000, trophy and certificates.
PUC Category:
I Prize - Team ‘B’ of Mahesh PU College, cash prize of Rs 3,000, trophy and certificates.
II Prize - Canara PU College, cash prize of Rs 2,000, trophy and certificates.
III Prize - Team ‘A’ of Mahesh PU College, cash prize of Rs 1,000, trophy and certificates.
