Karkala: Usha Institute of Nursing Sciences launches silver jubilee celebrations

Karkala, 22 Sep 2016: The silver jubilee celebration of Usha Institute of Nursing Sciences that belongs to Nitte Education Trust®, titled Samyata 25 was inaugurated at the KSHEMA auditorium, Deralakatte, Mangaluru on Wednesday September 21 at 3.00pm. It was organized at the leadership of Usha Institute of Nursing Sciences alma mater secretary Vallesh Shetty.
Nitte University vice-chancellor Dr S Ramanada Shetty inaugurated the teachers training Centre of Usha Institute of Nursing Sciences.
Dr Ramanand in his presidential address lauded the role of nurses in his tribute to Flores Nightingale.
MLC Captain Ganesh Karnik was present.
The dignitaries garlanded flowers to the portrait of the late Dr Usha Punja on the occasion.
National Doctorate Nurses Federation nodal officer Dr K Reddamma was the chief guest launched silver jubilee logo.
Dr Ramanand released the handbook of silver jubilee celebration.
The registrar Dr M S Moodittaya released the fourth addition of alma mater bulletin ‘Swara.’
Principal Dr Fatima D’Silva spoke on the journey of twenty-five miles of Dr Usha Institute of Nursing.
The vice principal Professor Sabita Nayak welcomed the gathering. Clita Pinto proosed vote of thanks. Viola D’Souza compered the programme.
Nitte University textbooks development director Professor Dr Rajashekar M inaugurated Ayurvana, nursery of medicinal plants at their Paneer complex, Mangaluru at 10.00am.
Dr Jeddu Ganapati Bhat, chairman of Jeddu Foundation, Alike, Bantwal delivered a talk on bio diversity for bright future.
