Puttur: Guest lecture on GST held at St Philomena College

Puttur, 21 Sep 2016: St Philomena College, Management Association, department of Business Management, here organized a guest lecture on ‘Goods and Services Tax’ at College auditorium here on Monday September 19.
The chartered accountant B Aravinda Krishna was the resource person. He said, ‘The introduction of GST would be a significant step in the reform of indirect taxation in India. The GST would lead to easy administration and enforcement. From the consumer point of view, the biggest advantage would be in terms of reduction in the overall tax burden. It also helps to have free movement of goods from one state to another.’
The principal Professor Leo Noronha presided the programme.
The head of department Radhakrishna Gowda, conveners of the Management Association Prashanth Rai and Pushpa N were present in the programme.
