Mangaluru: MLA J R Lobo urges to follow ideals of Brahmashree Narayana Guru

Mangaluru, 20 Sep 2016: Let us commit ourselves to live our lives as per the ideals of Brahmashree Narayana Guru, said MLA J R Lobo.

 

MLA Lobo was speaking during 162nd birth anniversary celebration of Brahmashree Narayana Guru that was organized by Brahmashree Narayana Guruswamy Seva Sangha at Lions Seva Mandir, Kadri, here on Monday September 19.

 

 

Narayana Guru is the visionary and social reformer shun the untouchability. He believed in equality among the people regardless of caste, creed and faith, said MLA Lobo.

 

He congratulated state administration for officially celebrating the birth anniversary of Brahmashree Narayana Guru.

 

The mayor Harinath inaugurated the programme on the occasion.

 

Rashtriya Billawara Mahamandala® president Jaya C Suvarna, Vijayavahini Enterprises proprietor Mohan Amin, Shivagiri Multi-Purpose Co-operative Society chairman Dinesh Raj K, P A College of Engineering Professor Dr Sharmila B Poojary, Yuvavahini Central Committee former president Parameshwar Poojary, Tulu movie artistes Bhojaraj Vamanjoor and Arvind Bolar were present at the dais.

 

Brahmashree Narayana Guruswamy Seva Sangha president Bhoja K welcomed the gatheirg. The secretary Jayalaxmi B R delivered the preliminary address. Jagdish Gopuragundi proposed vote of thanks.
