Mangaluru: Ayush department releases free Health Cards

Mangaluru, 20 Sep 2016: Ayurveda was the way of life in treating many ailments since thousands of years in Indian sub continent. Meanwhile, one can lead healthy life by ayurvedic treatment, along with moderate consumption of food and practicing yoga asanas. The quick-fix tendency to treat many ailments compels the people to seek allopathic medication for every ailment. The daily practicing yoga asanas enables one to be active through out the day, said Mangaluru south MLA J R Lobo.
MLA Lobo was speaking after releasing Ayush Health Cards during free Ayurveda camp that was organized by district Government Ayurveda and Homeopathy Hospital, Ayush Hospital, Lalbagh, here and Karnataka Ayurveda Medical College, Ashoknagar, here in collaboration with Mogaveera Sabha - Boloor, United Sports Club – Boloor and Mogaveera Mahila Mandali – Boloor, here at Mogaveera Sabha auditorium, Boloor, near Sultan Battery on Sunday September 18.
Yoga Ratna Gopalakrishna Delampady inaugurated the programme and shared his insight that he had accumulated by lifetime practicing yoga that was heard by the gathering in awe.
District Ayush Hospital ayurveda surgeon Dr Devdas delivered the preliminary address and expressed happiness for benefiting from ayurveda treatment by the people of Boloor since the past 35 years. He also urged them to avail Ayush health cards to get free treatment.
District Ayush officer Dr Mohammed Iqbal said that the health department is making every effort to bring Ayush treatment to the mainstream of healthcare. It also enables the people to get better treatment at Ayush Hospital, Clinics and Wenlock Hospital.
Mogaveer Sabha vice president Devdas Boloor, United Sports Club honorary president Vasudev Boloor, Mogaveera Mahila Mandali president Savita Raghu, Karnataka Ayurveda Medical College principal Dr Santosh Kumar J, Dr Sandeep Bekal, Dr Jacinta M D’Souza, Ranjan, Devanand, Jayaraj Amin and others were present at the dais.
United Sports Club president R P Boloor compered the programme. Usha proposed voite of thanks.
Over 200 people attended the camp for various ailments.
