Bantwal: 128 couple attend Convention of Newly-Weds at Kalladka

Bantwal, 19 Sep 2016: The marriage is neither an agreement between the spouses nor bondage. It’s a special attributes of shouldering the responsibility family and society and commitment, said Su Ramanna, Pramukh of Akhila Bharata Kutumb.
He was delivering keynote address during the inaugural function of convention of newly-wedded couple at Vedavyasa Mantap of Sri Rama Vidya Kendra, Kalladka, near here on Sunday September 18.
Both husband and wife are equals. None is slave of each other; the notion of Ardhanarishwara is being followed by ancient India, added Ramanna. ‘The mutual respect, sense of duty and responsibility are the virtues of family life. We got to be better human beings,’ said Ramanna.
Prabhakar Bhat, chairman of Vivekanand Vidyavardaka Sangh, Puttur in his preliminary address said that the convention of newly-wedded couple is being organized every year in order to strengthen the values of families and to create healthy society.
Sri Rama Vidya Kendra governing council chairman B Narayan Somayaji, correspondent Vasant Madhav, senior couple Vasudev and Pramoda couple were present at the dais.
Shubhalaxmi Shivagiri welcomed the gathering. Pratima Girish Bhat rendered the prayers. Rajeevi Jayaram proposed vote of thanks. Matra Bharati secretary Bharati Mataji compered the programme.
A total of 128 newly-wedded couple participated in the convention.
