Bantwal: Bellore parish-ICYM organizes first ever Ubrant Udkanam, daylong rural games

Bantwal, 06 Sep 2016: Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM) unit of St Michael’s parish, Bellore, near here organized, Ubrant Udkanam, daylong rural games in silted paddy field on Sunday September 4.

 

Fr Cyril Noronha, director of St Dominic Education Trust®, Mariashram, Badakabail, near Polali, here was the chief guest of the occasion.

 

fr Cyril inaugurated the daylong rural games at the paddy field here on Sunday at 10.00am.

 

 

Bellore parish priest Fr Peter Aranha, parish council vice president Godfrey Fernandes, ICYM – Bellore unit animator Vinod Fernandes, president Arun Prakash, secretary Rishi and Capuchin Bro Roshan D’Souza were present at the dais.

 

Variety entertainment events were held after the inaugural function followed by lunch. Ward-wise group games were held in the afternoon session.

 

The prizes and mementos were distributed to the winners during valedictory function held at 5.00pm. Kuriyal ward bagged the overall championship.

 

The daylong fun-filled games were concluded after Baila dance, non-stop dance. Nearly 500 parishioners partaken in the day’s event.
