Dr. Gururaj appreciated the good work done by the club conducting 150 camps without having any corpus funds of their own, when other clubs are struggling to conduct a single camp. Dr. Srinivas Bhat who is also Consulting Psychiatrist to these camps lauded the efforts of the club for bringing these camps to rural areas and advised the patient to take medicines regularly in order to maintain their health. Dr. P.V.Bhandary who is the brain behind these camp said in his wildest dreams he never thought that a small seed sown 12 years ago would grow in ’Leaps and Bounds’. Chief Guest Dr. Devdas Rai applauded the Rotarians for raising Rs.25,000 to 30,000 every month to purchase huge quantities of medicines for free distribution to the patients and requested to continue this benevolent project for the sake of these marginalized people.

A special club bulletin was released on this occasion. The camp was sponsored by the members of the club. It is said "feeding hands are better than praying hands". After the camp a delicious lunch was served to all the patients as well as their accompanying members, which was sponsored by senior Rotarian and past President Rtn. Antony D’sa. These camps are conducted on first Sunday of every month attended and benefited by over150 patients every month.

Senior Rtn Antony D’Sa in his introductory address gave a brief history of the inception of Psychiatric medical camps and the study growth of the camps every month from its humble inception. He was grateful to all the medical staff and doctors who are involved with this noble project.
