Vittal: Police dept urge peaceful celebrations of upcoming festivals

Vittal, 02 Sep 2016: At the backdrop of upcoming festivities of Ganesh Chaturti and Bakrid; a peace meeting was held at Vittal police station, here on Thursday September 1.

 

 

Addressing the gathering, Vittal sub-inspector Prakash Devadiga urged the organizers of public celebration of Ganeshotsav to assign sufficient numbers of volunteers during the procession, to install CCTV to safeguard the idol and also precious jewelry, to inform police movement of suspicious people around the venue and to hold peaceful celebrations.

 

Vittal town panchayat chairman Arun Vittal, member Ramdas Shenoy, Karopady gram panchayat vie president Abdul Jaleel, Kanyana gram panchayat member Abdul Majeed, Vittal royal family head Krishnayya Ballal, Punacha gram panchayat former president Udayakumar Dambe, Kolnad gram panchayat member Yusuf Talittanooji, Kelinje public celebration of Ganeshotsav Committee secretary Santosh Kumar, Kanyana – Bharat Sevashram representative Parasuram, Hameed Partippady and others were present.
